Hey everyone!
I recently launched my Instagram and TikTok channels to share unedited videos of my daily workouts as part of a long-term body transformation. My goal with these clips is simple: to show that you don’t need a high-end gym or complex equipment to stay consistent. You can train anywhere — right now, I’m doing my routine inside a hotel room in Tbilisi, Georgia.
To be completely transparent, I restarted my workouts just a couple of days ago after an eight-month break. During that downtime, my body accumulated extra weight, and overall endurance dropped significantly. To help my body adapt smoothly to the physical load, I ordered a few core supplements: wheatgrass powder, a vitamin C & A complex, and high-quality fish oil (Omega-3).
Let’s break down why these specific supplements are beneficial for daily training and how to time them for maximum absorption. My approach is heavily guided by Dr. Eric Berg’s methodology — a healthcare expert whose perspective on human physiology and nutrition I deeply respect.
A Quick Note on Constant Evolution: If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ve probably noticed that I constantly experiment and periodically adjust my positions on various topics — whether it’s supplement stacks, coffee timing, or other habits. Progress and personal development never stand still, and I strive to keep up by making adjustments along the way. Therefore, if you spot contradictions between this article and my earlier posts, it simply means I’ve gained new insights, changed my perspective, or fine-tuned my approach based on real-world experience.
Why Your Body Needs Support After a Training Break
Restarting physical activity after a long pause places healthy stress on your muscles, connective tissues, and metabolism. Supplements act as structural support during this phase:
- Wheatgrass Powder: Packed with chlorophyll, trace minerals, and iron. It helps oxygenate tissues, supports digestion, and provides clean energy without blood sugar spikes.
- Fish Oil (Omega-3): Essential for joint and tendon health under regular bodyweight training (planks, push-ups). Omega-3s help reduce inflammation, ease post-workout muscle soreness, and support cardiovascular health.
- Vitamins C & A: Vitamin C is vital for collagen synthesis, strengthening tendons and ligaments while acting as a potent antioxidant. Vitamin A supports tissue repair and immune function.
Timing and Schedule: How I Adapt It to My Routine
Buying good supplements is only half the battle. Guided by Dr. Berg’s principles, I tailor my schedule to fit my actual lifestyle, travels, and current stay in Tbilisi.
I don’t eat breakfast. My eating window consists of two meals a day, with the first meal almost always happening between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM (rarely shifting to around 10:00 AM). Furthermore, I don’t always work out in the morning — sometimes I do my session in the evening right before a shower, just before sleep.
Given this rhythm, my protocol looks like this:
- Wheatgrass — On an empty stomach. If I work out in the morning, I mix the powder with water 15–20 minutes before starting. Chlorophyll absorbs cleanly on an empty stomach.
- Coffee — An hour or two later. Roughly an hour or two after my morning activity, I enjoy my coffee (stay tuned for my next article on why skipping caffeine right upon waking matters).
- First Meal (12:00 PM – 2:00 PM) + Supplements. Since I skip traditional breakfast, I take all my fat-soluble and core supplements during my first actual meal:
- Fish Oil & Vitamin A are taken strictly with food (dietary fats trigger bile release, ensuring complete absorption).
- Vitamin C is also taken during the meal to prevent stomach irritation.
A quick note on coffee: Drinking coffee first thing in the morning can disrupt natural energy cycles. I will cover the science behind morning caffeine timing and how it connects with your daily routine in detail in my upcoming article.
