The Illusion Factory: Why We Are Being Tricked by “Success” Online

We live in a world where reality has lost the battle to marketing. Open TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, or just search for “how to be better,” and you will see an army of identical people or faceless information portals claiming they turned from rags to riches in a year, built a dream body, or traveled the world on pennies. This isn’t just content—it’s a global deception that methodically breaks people psychologically, financially, and sometimes even physically. I am currently experiencing the inner workings of this industry, and I want to tell you how it really works.

Why We Are Constantly Lied to About Travel and Immigration
Before I moved to Georgia, I spent a lot of time studying popular resources. Top bloggers and major portals were all saying the same thing: living in Georgia is incredibly expensive, unsafe, and the locals are hostile. I went there with a heavy heart, expecting the worst. What a surprise it was to see a completely different country! I started filming real life in Tbilisi: going to local markets, buying groceries, paying rent, and showing receipts. It turned out that the reality and what popular resources “feed” their readers are two different worlds. Why do they do it? Fear and negativity sell best. People want to be scared to keep clicking links, hoping to buy “safe immigration” courses that sell fairy tales instead of showing the real path to adaptation.
How Fitness and Health Were Turned Into a Money-Making Machine
The scariest topic is health. When I see bloggers who were obese a year ago and now look like fitness models with six-pack abs, I want to ask: whose life are you showing? It’s a lie. Real health improvement, especially mental health, takes years of grueling work, pain, setbacks, and daily effort. I am going through this myself; I fight my own health issues, and it is incredibly difficult. But bloggers sell you magic. They film with filters and show “perfect” workouts, while behind the scenes, there is a team of doctors and surgeons. An ordinary person feels like a failure looking at them and wastes their last money on programs that don’t help because they aren’t the AI-generated character they see on screen. It is direct harm to your health and psyche.
“Success from Scratch” for the Children of the Wealthy
Another category is “business coaches” writing about “successful business from zero.” Have you ever wondered how someone who couldn’t put two words together yesterday becomes a sales guru today? Often, these are children of wealthy parents who used family money to open a project, hired scriptwriters and stylists, and are now teaching you how to “start from scratch.” They don’t know what it’s like to struggle to pay rent or choose between food and medicine. Their advice is like a goldfish telling a shark how to survive in the ocean. It’s not business; it’s a theater performance.
The Truth About My Blog and My Writing
I want to be completely honest with you. You might notice that my writing style is far from literary standards and contains mistakes. I have a condition similar to dyslexia: I struggle to write correctly, and errors follow me in every sentence. I used to use text editors, but now I use AI to fix the structure and grammar of my thoughts. Without this help, the text would be unreadable. But my thoughts, my experience, and my receipts from local shops are real—this is what I have lived through myself, without filters or ghostwriters.
Why I Stay True to Myself and Don’t Chase Hype
I don’t have a team to set up perfect lighting. I have a specific voice, and I don’t know how to fill time with empty, “smooth” talk like professional speakers. I don’t have bags of money behind me, and I don’t live a lavish lifestyle. I film what I see, without embellishment or Photoshop. Here is my YouTube channel where I show real life: youtube.com and my Telegram channel: t.me, where we discuss everything as it is. Yes, my content is not popular because the truth is inconvenient and doesn’t bring easy money.
What Happens If We Stop Blindly Believing the Images
We must stop imitating projects. When you see another “perfect” person online or read a “success tip” on a portal, just ask yourself: who is behind this, and how much is actually true? If you feel worse after consuming content, it’s not you—it’s the content. Online lies have become too cheap and accessible. The only way not to break is to look for those who don’t try to seem better than they are. Look for real receipts, real reviews, and real people. Your path is yours alone.

Unfortunately, I am not a millionaire, and every cent donated means a lot to me, as it helps me continue blogging without relying on advertising agendas. I would also be grateful if you shared this article with those who need to see the real world, not a glossy illusion.
