Vector of Purity: How Sugar Hijacks Willpower and Triggers the “Why Reinvent the Wheel” Program

In our previous investigation, How to Break Internal Resistance: Hacking the Mental Program ‘Why Reinvent the Wheel’,” we identified the ancient Code of Stagnation that paralyzes progress. In the finale, we formulated the Principle of the Vector of Purity as the foundation for Volitional Intelligence, which included the key point about the maximum reduction of sugar-containing products.

But why sugar specifically? What is the connection between a sweet drink and your desire to invent a new wheel (to start a difficult task)?

Sugar is not just food. It is a biochemical agent that doesn’t fight your willpower but bypasses it using a perfect, yet destructive program written into your body: the Insulin Rollercoaster.

The Energy Matrix: The Glucose Assault

Your brain, like your Volitional Intelligence, runs on energy. Willpower requires a constant, stable supply of fuel. Sweets and simple carbohydrates (bread, pasta, juices) give the brain a sharp glucose assault.

Attention! The same assault, and sometimes an even stronger one, is delivered by hidden sweeteners like maltodextrin, dextrose, and pure sucrose, which are frequently used in processed foods.

What happens in 30–60 minutes:

  1. Velox\ et\ letalis (Fast and deadly): Your glucose level skyrockets. You feel a rush of energy, alertness, and the desire to start. This is the “Euphoria Phase.”
  2. The Insulin Response: Your pancreas releases the powerful insulin hormone, which, like a strict warden, rushes to drive all excess glucose into the cells.
  3. System Crash: Insulin works too effectively. Your blood sugar level rapidly drops below normal. The “Apathy and Stagnation Phase” begins.

In this Apathy Phase, the brain screams for help. It cannot work on a complex project (coding, invention, analysis) because its fuel tank is empty.

Decoding Willpower Sabotage

It is precisely at this moment, when the fuel runs out, that the Destructive Program of Stagnation gains absolute power, and the phrase “Why reinvent the wheel?” sounds particularly convincing.

  • Biochemical Mechanism: A lack of energy in the brain (hypoglycemia) leads to a reduction in the activity of the prefrontal cortex—the very area responsible for planning, decision-making, and Volitional Intelligence.
  • The Outcome for Willpower: Instead of using willpower for something complex (studying coding, starting a project), the brain seeks something easy and immediate (sleep, streaming, gaming, cigarettes, alcohol). It chooses a quick dose of glucose or easy dopamine.

Thus, sugar does not give you energy; it gives you a short-lived spike followed by an inevitable energy crash that physically disables your Volitional Intelligence.

Restoring the Vector of Purity: Three Steps to Less

For your willpower to be strong and ready to fight the Code of Stagnation, it needs stable, long-lasting fuel.

Your task is to stop the “Insulin Rollercoaster” and switch to “Cruising Mode” (stable energy from healthy fats and protein).

  1. Consumption Reduction (Not Quitting):
    • I am not calling for a sudden or complete abandonment of sugar and sugar-containing products. Abrupt withdrawal often leads to relapse. Strive to reduce them to the maximum minimum.
    • Practical Example: Do not abuse them. Eat not the whole cake at once or in a day, but just a small piece, washed down with a cup of natural green tea. Eat not a handful of candies or cookies, but one candy or one cookie—per day. Believe me, this is a realistic and manageable task.
  2. Neutralizing Hidden Sugar:
    • The Problem: Sugar hides everywhere and has many disguises. It is in sauces, ketchups, ready-made salads, fat-free yogurts, and even in “healthy” granola and crackers.
    • The Solution: Read the ingredients. Your enemy has many names. Exclude everything that ends in “-ose” (dextrose, maltose, sucrose, fructose), and be vigilant about maltodextrin and pure glucose. Do not give the Stagnation Program a chance through deceptive substitutes.
    • The Fitness Trap: Be extremely cautious of protein (or recovery) bars and sports mixes. Many of them, while positioning themselves as protein sources, actually contain a critically large amount of hidden sugar and polyols, causing the same insulin spike. Always check the carbohydrate and sugar content on the label.
    • The Substitute: As a safe sweetener, you can use natural Stevia without harmful additives (it is sold in liquid or powder form). Stevia is very sweet and beneficial.
  3. Active Glucose Lowering (Emergency Vector):
    • If you feel your glucose level is too high and the Apathy Phase is approaching, use these vectors for rapid lowering of blood sugar:
      • Lemon Water: Lemon water (apple cider vinegar with lemon juice) is effective at lowering sugar.
      • Active Exercise: Perform a short, active exercise (for example, the plank or a few squats). Muscle work rapidly consumes glucose from the blood.
    • Fuel Switch: Simultaneously switch your fuel: prioritize healthy fats (avocado, nuts) and protein—they provide slow, stable nutrition for the brain.

The Finale: Dominion Over the Body

Your Volitional Intelligence and your Freedom do not begin with reading motivational books, but with biochemical order in your body.

Imperare\ sibi\ maximum\ imperium\ est

(To rule yourself is the greatest empire).

In this context, to rule yourself means to rule your metabolism. Only with a clean, stable energy vector can you create that new invention and defeat the Code of Stagnation.
